Throughout
the Bible we get a very clear pictures its imminent Jesus will be returning one
day soon. It was God’s plan from the beginning after the fall of mankind. God
said one day He would crush the head of the snake (devil). We have first hand
witnesses who watched Jesus as he was taken up in the clouds and He said, now
go and share this Gospel to the world, and I shall be with you always.” Whoa! Let’s
slow down and go back about 30 plus years, before this happened. It’s when everything was going along just as
normal as any other day. There were new rulers in the land along with the King,
the Romans. Some new governmental issues were still being worked out between
the King and the Commander of the Romans, and the Churches the laws were being
enforced by the Romans as well, which most likely disturbed the Church hierarchies,
of the Pharisees and Sadducees. They loved their positions in the land. Then
one night when everyone was going on about their business, a baby was born in a
manger in Bethlehem, a little town of no great significance, the Son of God,
Jesus the Christ the Messiah is now come to earth. His coming was announced by
Angels from heaven to Shepherds in the fields. They watched in great wonderment
and fear at the sights and the Angels, who herald this message in Luke 2:4-14 4 So Joseph
also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the
town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went
there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was
expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be
born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths
and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the
fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord
appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were
terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you
good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of
David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a
sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a
manger." 13 Suddenly a great
company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor
rests." NIV It doesn’t end here! This same message is being told today in
the 21st Century. He came to save that which was lost. He went to
the Cross for all of mankind. He rose from the grave so we could have hope of
being saved from our sins and received unto him in Heaven for eternity. What a
super message of pure love! God bless you and Have a Great Merry Christmas!
