Go Out A Little Bit Deeper (Luke 5: 1-10)

Go Out A Little Bit Deeper (Luke 5: 1-10)
I love the story about Jesus telling fishermen how to fish and where to let down their nets. Can you just see it? There they are all dressed up in their fishing garbs (they didn’t have closets of cloths back then).. They did this for a daily living requirement and basic food needs. Every part of the fish was used for something, nothing was wasted like today. They are having a really bad fishing night and day! Nothings being caught in the nets and this is where they fish all the time! Its their best fishing spot, and when they get here at a certain time of day when the fish are noted for being right here where they are, only no fish are to be netted at all through the whole night of fishing! They are really disappointed and a bit angry. It took a lot of work to get the nets ready and repaired. It takes time to get the boat ready, to make sure all the moving parts (rudder) are working, and the sails are patched and the ropes to pull them up in a hurry in case of an emergency in a storm. The anchor is tied tight. There are so many things to do to get ready and then nothing is caught! Real bummer dude! Their most likely thinking like many fishermen do; Well now what do we do? I guess we go back without any fish and tell some fish stories like we always do, you know, about he ones that got away! All of a sudden Jesus happens to be walking on the shore. They know he doesn’t fish much, not that they know of, but he does teach a lot of interesting religious teachings that seem to settle ones soul. And he teaches with such authority, like hes a long time Pharisee in the priesthood, but they know he was raised around where they live in a small village that is hardly noticeable on any maps. Jesus then walks over and steps into (Simon’s) Pet’s boat. After teaching some things, by the shore, in shallow waters, he says, “Peter lets go out to deeper water’s, let the nets down and catch some fish." Peter stands up and looks around and says; Did you hear that? He said to go out deeper, as if that’s going to make a difference! You got to be kidding! He said to put out into deeper water, and let the nets down! I had to say that again just to make sure I heard what I heard. We haven’t caught anything all night long! We were on the shore, getting ready to rest and repair things and go again later in the day and try our luck. Well guys lets just entertain him for now, just to show him the fishing is not going anywhere fast today. I can't believe he thinks he knows where the fish are, ha! Then Peters says something very respectful to Jesus, "Master because you say so I will do it." This Master thing is explaining to everyone who reads this about Peter's respect for the Godly teachings he's most likely heard at a local synagogue, and maybe even on the shore in days past. Peter recognizes that Jesus is faithful  and he stands out amongst the other high priests who sound so condescending when they preach the word of God. He teaches about a hope that's is to come and is already come. He teaches like one who knows God first hand, like God and he are so close, but then Peter thinks, but that just can't be, or can it? So they do as Jesus asked, and in no time at all the fish are jumping into the nets! All of a sudden the boat is running over with a catch that would impress the whole community! What a fish story to tell everyone! They won’t believe it! Hold on, just a minute. How’d he know where the fish were? Who is this man? What just happened is strange. He was so certain about it, and this fine catch of fish proves it! Guys lets hurry back, the nets are breaking and the boat is almost capsizing from being overloaded! They’re a happy bunch of fishermen! Then peter humbles himself in the boat. He bows down on his knees in front of Jesus and says; "Go away from me Lord! I am a sinful man!" Again Peters recognizes there is way more to this man than what is visibly seen. He feels the need to know more about him. His heart is burning to ask him some serious questions about this event and his teachings. Peter, in a way is saying hes sorry for making fun of Jess and doubting the fish would be where he said, at the exact place and deeper water. We say they did this in total obedience, but they didn’t have a deep walk with Jesus yet, in fact they barely knew of him. Their whole lives were about to change in just a few minutes. When they arrived back at the shore, Jesus said “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”. They left the fishing business right there and followed him. They began a deeper walk of life for the rest of their lives. The Lord knows how to fill up the emptiness in our lives. There’s more to life than fishing! May God bless you this wonderful day! We are God’s Off-Spring

We are God’s Off-Spring
Acts 17:26-28  27 God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' NIV
From the first time I read this scripture (about 20 years ago.), it still today, brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart! In Genesis we have the full account of the beginning of the world and mankind. It clearly addresses how God made man in His image. How God was pleased with the man and all of the rest of the stuff He made. I know if you believe in the theory of evolution you have a hard time just believing the world and everything in it was made by God, a very personable God. He made himself known to the man and women. They walked with him and he walked with them in the garden he planted, (They were the first two employees who didn’t have to pay taxes!). I like the way, in the first sentence, the writer uses a hopeful comment in the middle of it “Perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each of us.”  God is reachable to everyone who seeks him. The word “Perhaps” is the word that intrigues me. Perhaps, meaning God can be found when man seeks, and when man seeks he is always near to hear our plea or our lamentations. I remember the day I cried out to him. It was as though he was standing right next to me. On that important day of my New Life, God breath his breath into me, covered me with the blood of Jesus, gave me a new mind, a new heart and a new love that was and still today is, indescribable! There’s no doubt in my military mind, on the day I asked Jesus to come into my life and forgive me of all my sins, that day I instantly became a Child of God!; An heir to the throne of God!; God’s offspring! Thus I am a Child of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Remember God said in Genesis: “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” Have you ever noticed the transformation of a newborn baby as they grow (Boy or Girl)? They start looking like the parents in big and small ways, plus they even start to act like them as they mature. An offspring of God can do the same thing and grow in the same ways. The bible says when we become Born-Again in Christ, we have the mind of Christ. We can think like him and act just like him, but we can also perhaps choose not to seek him. With him we have everything, without him we have noting. Have you asked God to adopt you into his family today? I urge you to perhaps consider it? He’s closer than you know. Can I get an Amen?

Until Next Time or We meet Again in the rapture, may God Always Bless you all.

Lowliness and Meekness are not Passiveness!

Lowliness and Meekness are not Passiveness!
Hebrews 4:15 tells us of Christ, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” Isaiah prophesied, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not” (Isaiah 53:3).

Jesus went all the way, from heaven to earth, to the womb. Born a baby by a virgin, grew up from a boy to a man, obeyed his parents, never committed a single sin against God, took the sin of mankind on himself, healed others, raised the dead to life, went to the cross without a struggle for his own life, allowed the Roman soldiers to nail his hands and feet to a cross, he was beaten, whipped, and bled his pure sinless blood onto the very ground he made man from. His own family, brothers and sisters said he was mad (unhinged). His disciples departed from the dark of the night scrambling for their lives, but not one of them was killed, just Jesus. He prayed for his enemies, friends, and loved ones.  He never took his eyes off of his children and the plan God the Father, He and the Holy Spirit devised to save mankind with his love and forgiveness. It took strength, meekness, compassion, and the lowliness of Jesus to open the doors of heaven for his children.
He went the extra mile for all of mankind, yet even to this very day, he is snubbed, shunned, cussed at in vain, denied, hated, and despised by millions in the United States, and around the world.
What is the Christians job in all this? They are to love and reach out to neighbors and friends and family, to go share the gospel to the world (where we live, where we visit, and wherever God sends us), to live and be like Jesus every step of the way, to show meekness, lowliness, compassion, forgiveness, and love, to the enemy and unloved.  Lastly to understand and use these kinds of divine character traits that are not passive, they are the very essence of strength, Jesus displayed to save mankind. May God bless you this wonderful day! Pastor Dan

The Historical American Custom of Attending Church, Is It Relevant For Today?

The Historical American Custom of Attending Church, Is It Relevant For Today?

Why is the "Church" needed today? I've asked myself this over and over. Here's my answer. If you agree my advice is make a committed effort to support the church of your choice. If you disagree, I hope you'll reconsider sooner than later. Here's why. Our very American underpinnings are due to men and women who believed in God. Anyone who arduously studies our U.S. history can easily find the facts on this in our nations historical archives. Our own Government has written records, citing America as a "Christian Nation". History also points out, as this nation has grown, so also churches were built in almost every state of the Union. The bible wasn't only used to convey the gospel of Jesus, it was also used in schools and in our courtrooms for learning good solid moral judgments (remember the 10 Commandments?).  Many misquotes of God’s Word have been made today regarding how Christians are not supposed to judge others (good Christians shouldn't). However the bible does speak of man making righteous judgments. Sort of like this: “I don’t agree with the current President’s policies, the way he’s going about handling our Nations security overseas. I don’t like his manor of campaigning, when words are used to divide people into different pools, ie; the rich, the poor, white and black, women and men. I don’t like that he supports gay marriage for any reason. Lastly I don’t agree with his stance regarding our Nations energy issues, especially workers in the coal mining industries. Does this make me even more a sinner because I freely speak about my beliefs and my differences? Does this make him more a sinner in the eyes of God? That my friend’s is God’s job, to judge, the righteous and the unrighteous. Some of the issues I stated here are very much against what I believe are biblical Godly ordinances. I cannot ever support them, and still be in my right mind, in agreement with the Word of God. Our church body prays continually for our nation, the President, and his family, and many others who are appointed in positions, given powers by we the people to rightly use and not to misuse. So in the course of our Nation’s history, and many appointed leaders, past and present, who clearly stated they believed in God, and depended on the Word of God, our nations course in history has been, and always will be continually defined by God, just as all nations powers are ordained of God. The notable thing is the church has been instrumental in bearing the yoke and continuing to carry the yoke, because of the help, and grace of God Almighty! Here we are now in the year 2012, and many churches are barely keeping the doors open because less and less good people don't feel or think the church is really needed. Yet the Lord tells us to not forsake the coming together, to greet and fellowship, and encourage one another. To learn to love, forgive and help our neighbors. To meditate on His word, so we develop a worshipful mind that abides in Christ the Lord, always trying our best to walk in the teachings of Jesus daily. Where else is this message being told? It’s being shared on the streets, in the villages, towns, and cities of the United States, and in other nations, around the world as missionaries are sent or led by God to go. With deep respect, I ask those who have forgotten the churches of God, as being a worshipful place to gather and pray in a communal type way with others, that are doing the best they can with limited resources, to be careful about negative words spoken against the churches God is the Leader of. Remember, He spoke to the 7 Churches in Revelations.  Each having fallen short in one way or another, but he doesn't condemn them or close their doors. He just asked them to repent and continue doing good and setting the righteous example He's already established. So yes in this day and time 2012, the CHURCH is needed just as much as it was needed in the past, and it will be needed in the future. Why? So the gospel of Salvation is heard by everyone, from the church, which is the body of Christ. My other advice is don't wait around until it’s too late and the church you like has to close its doors for a lack of support. Laborers in the fields are always needed. There’s always a ministry you can do for your church or assist with in your church. Jesus said Go! Allow yourself to be taught to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbors, as you love yourself”. The bottom line is this; “I believe the Church is even more so needed today in our Nation, to insure our true Godly American heritage and Christian way of life and beliefs are passed on to all generations. Here are a couple of scriptures I happened to read that generated this question in my mind. I hope and pray this helps you in making a decision to attend a church, where Jesus is preached. Until Jesus Comes! God Bless you!

1.    Luke 4:16-17:  16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. NIV

2. Acts 17:1-3:  1 When they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue. 2 As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and proving that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead. "This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ," he said. NIV

3.   Heb 10:25:  25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  NIV

I hope and pray this helps you in making a decision to attend a church, where Jesus is preached. Until Jesus
Comes, May all of us Labor for the Lord! God Bless you!

Salty Christianity – It should not be!

Salty Christianity – It should not be!
I know this may be a hard to hear bit of Godly wisdom, but, we all need reminding now and then about Godliness, righteousness, and living the Christian walk, that Jesus showed us. He delivered life giving (Salvation message) words in synagogues, on mountains, in fishing boats, and in the temple of God.  I’ll just share the “Word of God” here about what he meant regarding fresh water and salt water coming from the same spring,  I think I really understood this when I was a little boy and first heard a local Petersburg preacher (Bro Rogers) minister on this scripture one Sunday morning. I think Jesus made this topic pretty clear. You read it and decide for yourself what the answer, is for you only. I call it a path marker, one that goes two different directions, the Path of God or the way of Satan.
James the apostle and cousin of Jesus who was so close to him at the last supper, he could hear the heartbeat of Jesus, said this:  James 3:6-13 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.  7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.  9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.  13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. NIV
Jesus stated this earlier in John 7:37-39  37 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."  NIV
If you examine you’re walk and you know you are occasionally being a Salt – Water Christian, please read this and consider the words you speak around others. Know this too, we all sometimes trip up now and then, but with perseverance, and the forgiveness of our Lord and Savior, our words become eventually like Jesus said “Living Water”. We have that thirst quencher given to us in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God says so…. Salt has a good purpose and is also something which when overused can be really bad. If your life doesn’t sound like the words Jesus spoke, ask God to take away the unneeded salt and replenish it with his fresh spring of Living Water! Then when you speak the words from God they will be living and active words that make a difference in people’s lives you know, as you share what God places in your new heart and newly transformed mind. Don’t try to overcome this in your own strength, I did a long time ago and found out it just won’t work without Jesus support. One other encouraging and strengthening word is what Paul stated as lead by the Holy Spirit when speaking to the Corinthians at the Church of God, in Corinth. ; 1 Cor  2:16 16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. Niv  Again this can be supported by many other scriptures in the Bible. One scripture I particularly like, as God was transforming me (He still is today!) is this.  2 Cor 3:3 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. NIV Have you ever wondered why God used tablets of stone to write the 10 commandments on? Well that’s another story for another time, Lord willing. Until then remember this; Jesus loves you! He’s waiting at the door of your heart and he’s knocking, He won’t come in until you ask him to. All you have to do is pray a prayer like this and believe by faith in the one who God sent to die for you, and that’s Jesus the Son of God who now has risen and lives in heaven and sets on the throne today.
“Father in heaven, my Lord and God, I know you sent your only begotten Son to die for my sins and to rise again so that now he can come and make his home in my heart and mind. I ask you this very moment for forgiveness of my sins and to make me a new person in Christ as you’ve said you would if I only ask and believe by faith in Jesus. From this day on please fill me with the Holy Spirit, the Teacher and give me a hunger for your Living Word so that Streams of Living Water flow from my live in a visible way that people I know will be drawn to you for your saving grace. In the name of Jesus I pray.”
If you prayed this prayer and meant it with all your heart, you need to contact another Christian person as soon as possible, wherever you reside. You will want to start reading the word of God and praying for wisdom and for a teachable heart and mind as well. If you have any questions please FB me or email me and I’ll try to do what I can to get you some support going. God bless you! Pastor Dan

The Bread of Life is Soul Food

The Bread of Life – Soul Food

John 6:48 48 I am the bread of life. NIV

Jesus wasn’t mincing his words when he said “I am the bread of life”. I viewed a number of power point presentations on the internet, including various sermons, and they’re mostly all alike, with a few exceptions. The point is, the people are wondering if he is who he says he is?   When we look at the scriptures regarding Bread there are all kinds of various depictions and figurative illustrations pointed out. We have mention of the “Bread of Idleness”, “The Bread of Wickedness” “The Showbread” and the “Bread of Life”. We have the feeding of 5,000 and the feeding of 4,000, and we read about the miracles of the food multiplying while Jesus is blessing it.  We know bread is a basic staple in our daily lives. If I had a nickel for every sandwich I ate growing up and to this very day, I’d be very wealthy! My family of nine (seven kids and parents) never starved for food. We always had a loaf or two of bread in our house. We could make sandwiches when we learned how, and boy did we lay on the jam and peanut butter! We loved sandwiches, with baloney, butter and sugar, apple butter, marmalades, liverwurst. Well maybe not the last one mentioned, but it was something you could use for fish bait! Let’s jump to Jesus setting at the table with the 12. He holds up the bread and says, “Take and eat, for this is my body”. Then he blessed the bread and gave all to take part in eating. Before this Passover meal, He said the following in John 6:47-60  47 I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." 52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"  53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."  59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.  60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, "This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?"  NIV  Some folks got all heated up over what he said about this bread being his body.  If you take this scripture literally you will miss the entire point Jesus is making. What you will miss seeing is the Savior of the World, who can supply all your needs.  If you think he was talking about being a cannibal you’re as crazy as the priests (See Lev 17: 10 -14). Whatever you do don’t miss the simplicity in Jesus statement. “I am the Bread of Life who is come down from heaven!” He came to feed us words of life. so we will never hunger for divine food! Jesus clarified his statement when he said in John 6:63  63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. NIV If you don’t know Jesus, and have an insatiable hunger for something and you don’t know what it is, you need to get a life with Jesus in it! God bless you! Until next time, Lord willing Pastor Dan

The Gospel of Jesus Tastes Good!

I remember one evening about twenty years ago, as I was praying; God spoke to me and called me to preach the Gospel of Jesus. I crawled out of the bedroom, from the end of the bed where I was kneeling, backwards! I was saying over and over “God not me, you got the wrong guy!” I soon noticed I had a deep sensation and passion to read the Bible and pray every day, not just once a day, but throughout the whole day. Not long afterwards I felt called, I began sharing the Gospel with anyone I could, and including the people at work on the Air Force base I was stationed. It was a simple message, and over twenty years later it still is a simple message anyone can understand. Yet, why don’t people except it readily and want to get saved? I know God says it’s because their minds are darkened and that’s directly related to their heart condition. A hard heart is hard to crack when it’s full of pride. But, time spent with Jesus will soften even the hardest rock.  Last Sunday we learned how to share the Gospel of Jesus in a simple way, by using the Word of God. Here’s a profound statement I thought of at the time I was speaking on this topic. “You can’t share what you don’t have.” How can you share something you don’t possess? The Bible tell us to; “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.’ NIV Ps 34:8. My grandchildren have what we call a "Familiar Spirit", (We all have it.). How many of us liked everything we were served on our plate when we were growing up? Did you ever say this? “I don’t like that stuff, it’s awful!” Most of us made this statement, knowing we had never tasted some of the food items we said were awful, and we just couldn’t eat it without choking on it!  We do the same thing with the word of God. I have heard many people talk about the bible, and not correctly quote it as it is written or uses it out of context. Even those who have been long time Christians sometimes misquote a verse now and then. I believe Joshua said it best in Josh 1:8. To keep the Lords word in our hearts and minds, we need to meditate, (study it /memorize it /live it) on the word of God day and night. ( Josh 1:8  8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.  NIV
Please note the words "Do everything in it." This is why I put in parentheses, (Study it / Memorize it / Live it).  This is also why I encourage everyone to read your bible and follow what God says. In doing this you are getting a real taste of what God is all about. You will taste of his love, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, and the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. You really do find out for yourself, God is good! Why is this so important? When you share the gospel of Jesus, you are in a spiritual position where you are doing some really deep soul work for the Lord. God’s word is powerful and active, it’s like a double edged sword, and it slices the soul and heart of mankind. It divides deep things in the heart that may need surgically removed, and only God can do this spiritual work. We help in sharing his word to a lost soul. If you try to use only your words they will fall to the ground and be meaningless, but God’s word coupled with a heart filled with Jesus is a healing salve to the soul. What I found out through the years is, if you ask Him for forgiveness and become a follower of Jesus, you will want to share your testimony (Taste-a-mony), because you experienced his love personally, and have truly tasted the Goodness of God! One last thing, If you don’t know Jesus as your savior and Lord, and have not personally asked him to forgive you of your sins and to come and live in you and help you to be all He has for you, you’ll want to do this first. Besides, if you haven’t tasted the love of Jesus, how can you tell anyone that God is Good? God Bless you! Love you all! Pastor Dan

Who Wrote the Bible?

Why do we have Scripture? Are they not just the writings of man?

Boy with a title like that, this is going to be pretty hard to explain. Not! Here’s some scriptures on this topic.
2 Tim 3:15-17: 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. NIV
Supportive Scripture: 2 Peter 1:20-21; 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. NIV

Supportive Scripture: John 19:36-37: 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken," 37 and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced."  NIV

We sometimes forget the third part of the God-head, “God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Also Counselor & Comforter). There are many other Scripture references that were fulfilled by Jesus that can be read throughout the Old Testament as well. Again this is confirmation of Scripture being the divine Holy Counsel of God as men were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Look at the story of Philip. He wasn’t reading a bible or scroll as he was traveling down the pathways.
Supportive Scripture: Acts 8:26-29: 26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road-the desert road-that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." 27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. 29 The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." NIV

Bible Scripture is also referred to as “The Word of God”.
Supportive Scripture:  Heb 4:12: 12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. NIV
Supportive Scripture:   John 1:1-2  1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.  NIV

So we have the Word of God, spoken in His own person, delivered by Angels, fulfilled by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit Teacher. I think this is witness enough to explain ordinary men did not write the Bible, God did, by inspiring men by divine counsel, Angels, Prophecy, and the Holy Spirit. Can I get an Amen? Until next time, may God bless you.  Pastor Dan

Introduction about this Blog

I've never blogged before. I just recently did some serious praying about this and with some encouragement from a couple of Blogger friends, I have determined with the Lord's help, nothing is impossible. So I hope and pray this blog "Sabbath Day's Journey" will be worth the reader’s time and encouraging and uplifting. I'm in the building stages of this Blogging stuff, and I'm still working on the Blog site. I'm not a computer wiz so pray for me. Also please look past my spelling errors as I'm sure to make a lot of them. I hope to share many Gospel Truths about the Word of God. The need for Churches, Pastors, Leader’s & Laborers in the United States and in the missionary fields are also some topics I will eventually share points of view about. If you are encouraged by any of this “Sabbath Day's Journey Blog”, please give God all the accolades and praises.

Sincerely
In His Majesties Service, and Yours
Dan
